Refusing to follow in the wrong footsteps of your parents

Revelations 12:7 is a scripture that lets us understand the origin of fighting. Fighting started from heaven, and interestingly after the fight, peace was established.

These were the opening words of Dr D.K Olukoya at the 2012 Great Deliverance and Anointing Service of MFM UK.

At present, there is war everywhere even in homes, nations, churches etc and it is because of this prevailing war that God taught his children how to fight as recorded in Psalm 144: 1, “Blessed be the Lord my strength which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight.”

Some reasons why you should fight

• Fight to establish your destiny
• Fight to defend your wellness
• Fight to defend your promised land
• If you are doing well in life, your prayers should be the hardest

The strongest and most mysterious battle anyone will ever fight in life, is fighting the devils that fought your parents. Looking at Lamentations 5:7 which says, “Our fathers have sinned, and are not; and we have borne their iniquities,” four facts can be established.

1. The devils that one day fought your parents will one day fight you
2. It is a proven fact that problems pass from parents  to their children
3. Your parentage will determine the battle you will fight
4. Innocent people can inherit battles they did not start.

A Real Life Example

Someone discovered in their family that no one lives to be forty years of age. After prayers, the Holy Spirit revealed that in the past, their forefathers owned seven slaves who were buried alive. At the point of burial, the slaves cursed that family line saying, because they were not up to forty years of age, no one from that family line would live to be forty years old. The family was under a curse due to what their parents had done in the past.

Some symptoms of those fighting  parental battles

• Opposition you cannot understand
• Collective captivity
• Unexplained hatred
• Cloudy disappointment
• Strange bewitchment power
• Reaping failure instead of success
• Horrible defeats in the dream
• Like father like son experiences
• Like mother like daughter experiences
• Procrastination
• Falling from grace to grass
• Going round in circles
• Poverty
• Automatic failure
• Unexplainable tragedy
• Disfavour
• Continual failure
• Health problems
• Joblessness
• Untimely death

• Loss of virtue
• Vagabond life of no focus
• Building but not inhabiting
• Marital failure
• Suicidal tendencies
• Addiction
• Merciless demotion
• Strange problems
• Witchcraft magnets
• Acidic hardship
• Struggling at old age
• Trick accidents
• Going to the enemy for help
• Gynaecological  problems
• Backsliding
• Manipulation
• Closed heavens
• Dead but living

The way out

1. Surrender your life to Jesus
2. Recognise there is a problem
3. Wage war against those powers that aged war against your parents
4. Pray desperate prayers

Desperate Prayers to pray

1. Powers that want me to suffer what my parents suffered, die in Jesus name
2. Powers that pursued my parents and are now pursuing me, die in Jesus name
3. Powers that defeated my parents, die in Jesus name
4. Any altar assigned against me, die in Jesus name
5. Any sickness assigned against my life, die in Jesus name.
6. Every dragon competing with my destiny, die in Jesus name
7. The satanic pattern of my fathers house, die in Jesus name
8. Owners of evil load in my life, carry your load in Jesus name
9. Generational battle of my fathers house , die in Jesus name
10. Generational battle of my mothers house, die in Jesus name
11. Generational battle of my in-laws house, die in Jesus name
12. I move from mockery to miracle by the power in the blood of Jesus
13. I move from insult to result, by the power in the blood of Jesus
